THANK YOU!! Brian & I felt extremely lifted up in prayer through so many of you and loved to see the width and breadth for which He stretches and connects people together in prayer. We were in awe of your comments, blessings, and words of wisdom for us during this period of waiting in our lives. We can’t thank you enough for reaching out, reading our story, sending your love and prayers. We have wonderful news to report – at our ultrasound this morning, baby was HEALTHY! Everything that needed to be measured, or tested, was and passed with flying colors. Baby was measuring right on track and there was nothing of concern found on the ultrasound. We truly enjoyed laying there watching our baby wiggle and squirm on the screen. What a gift we’ve been given and we feel joy tonight.

There is still some uncertainty, in that once the baby is born they will do further tests of the baby’s urine and saliva to see if CMV is present. The specialist, however, was very optimistic this would not be an issue as they are suspecting I had a secondary infection of CMV, meaning I’ve had it once and contracted it from Brian for a second time. This is good news in that a secondary infection makes the likelihood of the baby contracting CMV much lower. That information will be confirmed once my blood results come back next week.

For now, we rejoice in our little bundle and the healing power and protection of our God. At almost 26 weeks, baby is growing strong & healthy (2 pounds, measuring big, and 155 heartbeat) and we’ll continue to pray for that through the remainder of my pregnancy. The DR does want to do some non-stress tests the last month of my pregnancy to ensure baby isn’t under any added stress, but those are easy for me as I did them every few days when I was on bedrest with my son, Logan 🙂 Those I can handle. We just await the day when we get to meet this little boy or girl and give lots & lots of hugs & kisses.

Again, we want to say thank you. If there are any other updates to give, we certainly will. I’ll be posting updates on my pregnancy in general – and please stop in and say hi and leave comments if you feel led to. They are very encouraging and we truly felt your prayers! So we praise God for YOU and thank you!

Here are some pictures from today!

Can you see baby’s face?

This little boy or girl grabbed his/her toes while we watched…loved seeing that!

My heart is filled with joy for you and your family. As I read your blog often, I’m constantly moved by your words. I feel blessed to have witnessed another example of how our loving Father carries us through some of the biggest challenges this world can throw at us. Although this journey has not reached its end, I am so happy that things seem to be turning in a better direction. This little miracle is so lucky to have you as his or her mom. The love and care you give to your family is truly wonderful. I will continue to pray for all of you (as will my prayer group) in the weeks and months to come until your newest family member arrives.
